ARISE Detroit! 17th Annual Neighborhoods Day

DivDat is a proud supporter of the 17th Annual ARISE Detroit! Neighborhoods Day for the fifth year in a row. ARISE, standing for Activating Resources and Inspiring Service and Empowerment, is a nonprofit alliance bringing together 400 organizations to promote volunteerism, and community activism. ARISE Detroit! seeks to “launch a new wave of volunteerism for the many worthwhile programs and activities that are struggling with the issues that trouble our community – illiteracy, high school dropout rates, crime and youth violence, drug abuse, domestic abuse, neighborhood blight, and unemployment.”

Luther Keith, Executive Director of ARISE Detroit! started Neighborhoods Day to celebrate the great work these community organizations do throughout the year and gives these organizations the opportunity to show off their work and services through community cleanups, parades, workshops, and more. Neighborhoods Day has been held on the first Saturday of every August since 2007 and involves thousands of volunteers and months of planning to accomplish this large of a feat.

On Saturday, August 5th, ARISE Detroit! Successfully hosted their 17th annual Neighborhoods Day with more than 100 activities and community service projects.

Being a Detroit-based company, DivDat is proud to back an incredible organization run by extraordinary visionaries seeking to make Detroit a city full of hope and community engagement. DivDat is grateful for the opportunity to sponsor ARISE Detroit! Neighborhoods Day alongside other great companies such as Meijer, Henry Ford Health, Comcast, WXYZ Detroit, the Kresge Foundation, and more.

DivDat congratulates Luther Keith, the ARISE Detroit! Organization, and all community volunteers who put so much time and effort into another wonderful Neighborhoods Day – it is an honor to be a part of it.
