The DivDat Kiosk Network (DKN) Payment model does something that we think is unique in the industry and is a game changer for best practices employed by major billers. Our proprietary system for utilizing kiosks goes far beyond what’s described in the paragraphs above in terms of connecting billers with a significant segment and demographic of their customer base. What some may describe as a monolithic corporation clad in a granite building or big government with faceless bureaucrats, for some people engaging in the payment process with a major utility or government agency is a daunting, imposing process.

No jobs have been lost by anyone associated with our kiosk deployment at DTE Energy, Wayne County Treasurer, Detroit Water and Sewerage Department of City of Detroit Treasury, all of whom have reallocated resources. We have helped Wayne County reduce overtime. Staff that would have taken walk-in payments are now helping people with more complex tax issues or in signing up for payment plans or other needed assistance.
DTE Energy’s former cashiers are in customer service and support roles. In point of fact, the Kiosks are job creators. Jobs are created for ambassadors, armored car services, marketing, advertising, management and a host of support personnel required to expand the business model.
