City adds bill payment option for Eastpointe residents

By Susan Smiley | Macomb Daily

Bill payment just got a little bit easier for residents of Eastpointe. The city added a payment kiosk where residents can pay water and tax bills 24 hours every day outside of City Hall Tuesday.

The new DivDat kiosk accepts cash, credit cards and checks. DivDat mobile app and web pay options are also available for residents to use to make water and tax payments.

City officials touted the kiosk’s ability to allow people to conduct business on their schedule and not the city’s hours. The kiosk also gives residents the option of getting a transaction receipt. There is no service charge for residents who choose to pay using the kiosk.

According to a release from DivDat Kiosk Network, there are more than 100 kiosks in the Metro Detroit area, any of which may be used to make Eastpointe payments. The Fresh Choice Market located at 18801 E. 9 Mile in Eastpointe, the Shoppers Market at 14350 E. 9 Mile in Warren, and the Vegas Food Center at 19700 Kelly Road in Harper Woods are all grocery store locations hosts to DivDat Kiosks allowing Eastpointe residents to pay bills while they shop.

Eastpointe is the first city in Macomb County to join the DivDat Kiosk Network, but the system is being used by several other cities in the Metro Detroit area including Dearborn, Ecorse, Wayne, Detroit, Hamtramck and Redford Township.
