36th District Court and DivDat Kiosk Network Launch Interactive Voice Recognition (IVR) Phone Pay Option
DETROIT – The DivDat Kiosk Network is pleased to announce that Michigan’s largest district court, the 36th District Court in Detroit, now offers citizens an Interactive Voice Recognition (IVR) phone pay option when paying court fees and fines.
“The 36th District Court has been a great partner with DivDat, and an advocate for offering people many options and ways to pay Court fees and fines.” said Bruce Babiarz, Chief Marketing Officer for DivDat.
The 36th District Court now offers citizens the option to pay their Court fees and fines on any DivDat kiosk, the mobile app, web, or phone. All payments via cash and checking/savings accounts are fee-free, and credit/debit cards carry a merchant account processing fee.
“COVID-19 has had a significant impact on Court operations,” said Chief Judge William C. McConico. “In an effort to continue to serve the public as efficiently and safely as possible during this pandemic, we have chosen to adopt another payment solution for paying your Court fees and fines via phone.”
“We applaud the Court for making safe, convenient payments part of its program and ours to provide greater diversity, equity, and inclusion in the payments and collections space. We are pleased to offer our services to the 36th District Court to better serve residents.” said Jason Bierkle, DivDat President.
To make a 36th District Court fees and fines payment, call 855-798-1547. Payments can be made 24-hours a day in English and in Spanish.
The DivDat Kiosk Network assists some 100,000 people per month in paying their DTE Energy, 36th District Court, and Detroit Water bills (DWSD), as well as their Wayne County delinquent taxes, and current City of Detroit taxes. Additionally, virtually all City of Detroit departmental service bills (including personal property taxes, and the renter’s escrow program) are included, and many other programs are in the process of coming online with the DivDat Kiosk Network.
“The Kiosk corporate and government users have worked with us to create a unique customer service model in a public-private alliance dedicated to “Leveling the Paying Field” by charging no fees to consumers to pay their bills,” said Bierkle. “We are very proud of these organizations, and we are working hard to reduce agency fees by adding additional agencies to the network and other efficiencies.”
